The Rock Island Rotary Club is getting Youth Exchange student #2 for the 2011-2012 year! Daniel Ortega, brother of Filipe (Youth Exchange student 2009-2010) from Chile will be arriving in Rock Island soon.  This is the year of “the Brotherhood”; both new Youth Exchange sons are brothers of past Inbound sons, Andre and Felipe.

Our Youth Exchange student from Brazil, Marceleno Alves, has arrived!
He is staying with his first host family, the Dismer’s, and will be attending Alleman High School, where his brother Andre went during his Youth Exchange program in 2009-2010.
We welcome Andre to the Rock Island Rotary Family and look forward to a great 2011-2012 year!

Rock Island Rotary Youth Exchange Students Erica Bussey (going to Denmark), Felipe Ortega (Chile) and Sonia Kinser (going to Finland).

Rock Island Rotarians welcomed new club Youth Exchange Inbound student Felipe at the Quad City International Airport on Monday, August 17. Felipe is from the country of Chile and will be attending Alleman High School this school year.
Also pictured is Hope Bushnell, Outbound Youth Exchange student who will be leaving for France.
